New Mexico Burkett Pecans & Sweets

Founded in 1912 by our great great grandfather J.W. “Jack” Newberry, we honor his legacy of cultivating the first commercial pecans in southern New Mexico. The BURKETT was his favorite pecan tree variety and a few hundred of his original tree plantings in 1930s are still cultivated to this day.  Jack’s Buttery Burkett fruit yields rounder nuts with a buttery flavor and a crisper thinner shell compared to most WESTERN or other Georgia pecans.

Jack’s Buttery Burketts are a delight to bite.
