SAN ISIDRO WOODEN RETABLO FOR FARMERS AND GARDENERS

This San Isidro Retablo by Lynn Garlick honors farmers, gardeners and ranchers as he labored all his life as a Spanish farm worker. Legend has it that one day the farm owner went to check if Isidro was working and found him praying under a tree as an angel plowed the field. And when food was scarce one winter Isidro fed some starving birds the corn he was carrying to the mill and when he reached the mill, miraculously the sack was full. He was extremely generous to those less fortunate and often had very little left for himself. This large retablo is 5 1/2″ x 13″.
