The dark green pods make it perfect for chopped green chile as well as for stuffing or frying. It is 6 to 7″ in length and is the natural New Mexican chile to choose for what we consider a consistent hot heat level. This hot one is a favorite for use in a variety of traditional New Mexican recipes. With a heat level of around 9,000 Scovilles, you have to be pretty cool to try this hot one.
