Our Sandia Chile has a superior flavor, a uniform heat level, and a thicker fruit wall. The dark green pods make it perfect for chopped green chile as well as for stuffing or frying. It is 6 to 7″ in length and is the natural New Mexican chile to choose for what we consider a consistent hot heat level. This hot one is a favorite for use in a variety of traditional New Mexican recipes. With a heat level of around 9,000 Scovilles, you have to be pretty cool to try this hot one. Perfect for Salsa, Guacamole, Green Chile Stew and any dish that requires a little kick.  Grown in the Mesilla Valley of Southern New Mexico. Available in 4 lb, 8 lb. or 20 lb. quantities.
